Our concern with safety and risk management is paramount.
Balancing risk with competence throughout the training pathway is our core business. Our program outcomes are being monitored and finely tuned through years of experience. We take great care in facilitating adventure, learning and growth to the very best standards. Our systems are raw and getting more effective. Feedback from our partner organisations is awesome,
Our Safety Management system can be found under Maritime and Expedition Resources. Ensuring the benefits of undertaking activities with inherent risks is managed by strategies that reduce the real risk to participants. A perception of danger is sometimes needed to engage our full capacity for learning, just as much perhaps that our perception of safety in the group needs to be real.
We train, mentor and employ the very best youth workers as our skippers. The ability to guide and promote group culture, is as important as having water rescue skills. In a team. So we specialise and learn other roles as well.
Our staff are all dedicated volunteers provided with the best support, training and mentoring to help develop the culture of an expedition family.
Sail training is diverse in practice, and we combine the best of maritime operations, youth work and education to deliver extended expedition programs. These have offered far reaching experiences and opportunities for thousands of young people already. Please join us in this community of practice..
